The difference is I am running through a cable modem(gateway?) and am running through WinXp Home. However, your suggestion about switching to a static IP then back to DHCP gave me the idea of trying to do an ipconfig /release and /renew and that fixed my issue.

But this stupid problem made me so upset that i had to contribute after figuring out how to get it to work. In the "My Network Places" you can see just 2 things there. Send him an email with your rants, rumors, tattles. If the Service status is Stopped click Start. If these are installed correctly, then move on to the next check. Now Windows XP will find and install the drivers without the management software and hopefully you won't run in this problem of not seeing the wireless networks again.

I have checked firewall settings and some services, but problem still same. I hope this helps although I apologize for not supplying the exact Windows dialogue boxes.
