I did this by adding a printer via TCP/IP port in the Add Printer Wizard and for the driver, I used the generic HP LaserJet driver that ships with XP. Well done and thank you for solving a most annoying problem. How do I disable this screen or actually find where this name and password exists? To summerize: The firewall was one problem. I haven't been trying to assign GPPs to security groups yet, just OUs which had either users or computers contained within. Click Next and choose whether you want to share the printer with other users on the network. It saved my day.
