Thanks Report t150662- Mar 11, 2010 09:37AM After 18 hours scouring the net reading hundreds of solutions, Dougknox resolved it with a few clicks. But after running registry fix, everything was good to go again :)!! It installed and updated w/o issue.2.
I also ran Spybot and Ad-Aware too.I came to the conclusion that the software needed to be a genuine/legitimate version of Windows so I bought it. nothing would run that had an .exe extension. But note the following precautions;a) If you decide to install CCleaner, watch the install process carefully. Xp Exe Fix got the av.exe virus, found it and deleted it and then after that couldnt open any .exes.
