I have a work group of 12 computers and two servers. As of now My Xp Machine can not see my Windows 7 ultimate Shares in Network places. THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE AND HAS BEEN STATED MANY, MANY TIMES: CHANGE THE WORKGROUP NAME ON THE WIN7 COMPUTER TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THEN CHANGE IT BACK! What ever happened to naming a workgroup? my review here

Do I need to somehow uninstall the Linksys info from the old PC? Homegroup only works with Windows 7 computers and will not talk to your XP computer. It's setup for the same workgroup as all the other non win7 computers and nas boxes. I turned off password sharing...stuff that looks more obvious.
