My suspicion is that it creates a hidden system file for Indexing or something, marks it as Read-Only which causes the greyish Read-Only flag. I have done the security deal and change permissions on every user under the security tab to full, I am out of ideas... Clearing the read-only attribute from a folder on a Windows 2003 system is a classic example of this. Besides, atm the folder has Everyone set to Full Control and it's still Read Only. JSI Tip 3212.
