What I have seen is, that the LAN connection type is not set to 'domain' but to public. This would normally be 192.168.0.1 with the DHCP pool starting at 192.168.0.2 and running up to 192.168.0.254 although this is not the only allowed setting. So the DHCP server functionality of your router must be enabled and working properly. Just curious who would build such a thing ??

There must be some settings or services in windows that are causing this, as dhcp works fine on the desktop...
