How would I be able to get it to release the IP for it's normal connection and get it to register the new connection to my router? I went to the command prompt and type in IPCONFIG and pressed Enter. I've tried going back to a previous install but that did not solve it. When I entered ipconfig/release it went into media disconnect mode and removed the 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address as it was supposed to.
