Iv'e altered the BIOS settings with no change..The CD and DVD both disapeared after trying to instal a printer. If it not one problem with Microsoft products there always is another. I ran the MS Fix and it seems to be working fine now. b.
I agree that this is a MAJOR Microsoft screwup and it is completely ridiculous at the negligence and disregard that they have shown to those of us affected by it. I think the problem was associated with me removing iTunes. Finally i tried a registry editor which I ran at least 14 times. Then click ok and reboot so the changes will take effect.
