How difficult is it to practically detect a forgery in a cryptosystem? Therefore, if you are not sending with Gmail, you can't use a Gmail address in a FROM header in your newsletters. It makes Mail unusable.

Frankly, I'm surprised anyone uses Gmail for any reason since Google runs each email through data analysis to pull any data that might help their advertising business. In Mail's menu bar, click Mail / Accounts. When I Edit SMTP Server List… via Mail Preferences the problematic server has Allow insecure authentication unchecked.
