Mac Mail Not Sending Stuck In Outbox
One more hideous glitch like this and they've lost a loyal customer. Note that this is modifying the email account to allow for insecure authentication, which is potentially a security risk, making this an unacceptable solution for some users. My mail appears to be sending, however, when I checked my sent mail it also shows I have 61 emails in my outbox. Let us know in the comments.

The notification says all smtp-servers are offline, which isn't true because I can still send everything via safari (same credentials, same provider). HELP! Stuff like System Prefs, Terminal… Un-flippin-believable. Anyway, after fiddling for a thousand years, this is what worked for me on my new laptop (Yosemite). - switched Port to 25 - unchecked SSL on both incoming and outgoing I have also tried all other fixes suggested online.
