You will have to aggregate the share data from each "drive" to a single "volume" as data from a single share may be present on multiple/every drive. How does that even make sense? Can I do it without losing all the data on the three data drives or what other procedure should I follow prior to attempting this step? The reason to use ROBOCOPY is because it will only copy data that doesn't already exist, so it's just going to fill in the holes (I already had all the other I was able to un-install the missing HDD successfully.

You literally don't have to do anything but wait for the balancer to shift files around. I hoped to be able to remove the problem drive with a few clicks in WHS but I found that WHS could not remove the drive due to "file conflicts". Agile Evangelist. The C drive, yes I understand that is the System drive, the original drive that came with the HP 470, but the D drive is made up of three different drives. Drive in #2 is still in place, and according to the Console, it shows drive #2 (I hope you are sitting for this part…) IS HEALTHY. I've experienced failed system and storage pool drives.If a storage drive fails, you remove it from the pool and add a replacement drive to the pool.
