edit: I just realized - at one point this PSP was modded with custom firmware. So they must let you do it. The PS3 doesn't acknolwedge the PSP at all. edit: I should add, this is an original fat PSP (1st gen).

Both systems have the latest updates but I've never set up PSN on the PSP because the security settings on my router (WPAk2) aren't compatible with the PSP which it says I've done extensive web searching and have still not found a solution, but I have found a host of others with the same issue.
Been on a ~3 year break with occassional visits. Loading... I think it needs to be 3.01 or higher.
make sure you Ps3 firmware is up to date, and that your PSP firmware is 3.30 (the newest edition) and then you have again if you haven't perhaps select remote play while they are attached.when select remote play wirelessly, select ' connect via private network' .hopefully one of these helps, otherwise let me know
