I was thinking that I had seen only the D-Link adapter under network adapters before, and that part of the problem might be that something I had done had installed these Then i had to reboot...it made changes to the system settings then I started up Unreal for the benchmark to see if it helped. I was on the comp last night and everything was working just fine...(even the internet)...then I downloaded this tweaking utility from tweakfiles.com called PC Accelerator 6000 SE 4.7. The time now is 12:21 AM. Current setup is three computers connected to router, w98, wxp, wxp-laptop. Ok here is where my problem is....this time when I tried to run winipcfg I get an error: FATAL ERROR! Add TCP/IP back in again 5.
Any Suggestions. Temporarily add in NetBEUI 2. I will try the other suggestions and see if it works. Click apply, then Ok. Any tips would be appreciated. I don't think it's related, but now I can't access the Internet, and I don't have an IP address on the laptop.

we are using tcpip and the error occurs with using novell client version 3.1 on a system running win95 and when we run winipcfg.

Try reverting back to the old winsock configuration using the ws2backup files.
