We've replaced the jacks, the wires (from the nic, and from the patch panel to the hub), reseated the boards and reset the hub, still no solution. I was thinking that I had seen only the D-Link adapter under network adapters before, and that part of the problem might be that something I had done had installed these I installed and ran the program. give us some details and we'll try to get you fixed up!

Correct again about Windows95 systems (that's what all our workstations out on the desktops are running), when you run WINIPCFG, the dialog box shows up with a message that says "Fatal You may have to register before you can post: click the register link above to proceed. ANSWER: I reloaded Win98SE on the laptop. Repeat the process above except the this time around click on Dial-up Networking to return the check mark to Dial-up Networking. I have verified all the settings in TCP/IP and the DLink WiFi card. The advantage is that you keep your network card drivers in place in case they are not part of the normal Windows source files.
There are thus several problems, but my first concern is the winipcfg failure. To start viewing messages, select the forum that you want to visit from the selection below. The problem is usually caused by a corrupt installation of the Winsock 2.0 update. Happens to us sometimes when a user at a remote site tries to authenticate - logon goes fine, but then there's a momentary lapse in the connection that lasts long enough
Current setup is three computers connected to router, w98, wxp, wxp-laptop.
