I don't reckon it's anything to do with my provider since I can run my Gmail from XP using Oulook 2007 with no problems. when i open my outlook 2010 it was getting error Then i don't know how to check with this error and on Forefront tmg 2010 i was set the rule below. that's the normal pair At this stage I would be considering reinstallation of OSX, some thing is clearly not working right and reinstallation is generally faster than troubleshooting.

Tried pinging the server - pop3.live.com - and it is "unreachable " Gmail server is OK - pop.gmail.com - and can collect mail using Outlook Express. pop3.live.com tries to ping 126.96.36.199 but gets a timeout. If I try the same telnet on the older Vista computer, where Outlook works, the telnet works and produces a blank screen. General failure. Why don't you try that and see if it helps.
