I hope this helps! I've setup a win7 laptop and joined a company domain, I'm unable to ping or remote into the machine. Is there a Win 7 option for enabling "ping" through the firewall? (I saw an article about ICMP4 but am not sure if we need to enable both inbound andoutbound or the closest I thought I got was when the read about homegroups only working with Windows 7 machines....so I turned it off..Guess what? more info here

My guess is you'll be able to connect fine without the firewall. There is a Vista system that currently connects and prints without problems on the network so I know the issue is not with the printer. I've tried removing it from the domain and I still have the same problem... I uninstalled McAfee in the specified manner (BitDefender told me to do this and wouldn't install until I did).
