Routers ip: 192.168.1.1 PC 1 : 192.168.1.100 PC 2: 192.168.1.101 I cheked firewall and all other connections but still not successful. If you are not getting and IP address or you get an IP address starting with 169 then you are not getting a valid DHCP address. Can someone help me out? I changed the security back to WPA and hey presto, all PCs could talk to each other again. My internal network connection was fine and Network and Sharing Center showed a network and internet connection with no Red X or Yellow Triagnles. netsh winsock reset I was immediately able to ping google.com, go to various websites, etc.
