Cannot Ping External Dns
After recently finding that the gateway could not be pinged, it all started to make sense. like nslookup google.com 220.127.116.11 would use the DNS server 18.104.22.168 to lookup google.com. Issue: I cannot ping the other computer via a fully qualified DNS domain name. When configured with a local DNS, with the server's Forwarding set as the external DNS, URLs are not resolved, and the process fails. The server cannot ping URLs or IP addresses. http://fortecrm.net/cannot-ping/cannot-ping-external-sites.html
