Too bad there is such a thing as pps to be able to open fils!!! Marty November 15, 2006 9:39 PM When I try to open a .pps file from Outlook Express, I get an error message that it is not a valid Win 32 application. I'd start by copying the file to your hard disk before opening it. But I still cannot open them directly by double click on the file.

I have downloaded PowerPoint Viewer and implemented your instructions. If you're using PowerPoint itself, you'll need to locate "powerpnt.exe" on your hard disk and enter its path instead of "pptview". Go ahead and check DDE as well, entering "pptview" (without the quotes) into the Application field, and "System" into the Topic field. An 18 year career as a programmer at Microsoft soon followed. Thanks for your help, Leo.
